RUDY KRUGER

Rudy Kruger. Not a real person but real enough for me to create a blog for him. Call him my alter ego. He's been in my mind for some time now and has a real personality. Rudy had a tough life to start but has made something of himself. It is a long journey. May you love reading about his many adventures. There are several stories finished and many more in the pipeline. There is also a superb book about the Cold War. A blurb writer might call it the "backstory".

RUDY KRUGER - WHO IS HE?

Rudy was born in East Germany to an impoverished farming family in the bad old days of Soviet communism. His father took out his frustration in drunken rages against his wife and only child. Consequently Rudy left home as a teenager and moved to Stuttgart where he became apprenticed to a gangster. In the years to come he made a fortune, taking over his mentor's business and ended up owning his own nightclub. The good times came to an end when he fought head on with the local police. A corrupt prison warden enabled him to escape. The only place to go was Moscow, where he was taken under the wing of the leading Mafioso.

RUDY KRUGER - THE BIOGRAPHY

Rudy was born in East Germany to a drunk farmworker and his oppressed wife. He is an only child. He left home at the age of sixteen after facing yet another beating from his father. On this last occasion he turned the tables on his hated parent and escaped across the Wall to West Berlin. He became a leading member of the criminal underworld, eventually owning his own nightclub in Stuttgart. An unfortunate run-in with the local police led to a lengthy jail sentence. Having bribed his way to freedom he hid in Moscow, working for the leading Mafia boss, shortly after the Soviet Union collapsed. One adventure – told in THE FORGOTTEN WARRIOR – led to him falling in love with the widow of a corrupt politician: faced with the choice of turning away from a life of crime or losing his love. His knowledge of the wrong side of the tracks proved extremely useful to the American and British secret services for whom he started working as a freelance spy. After rescuing the American President from incarceration and certain death in Iraq he was formerly appointed Commander in MI6. That story is told in BAGHDAD BOOMERANG. Naturally, Rudy has made enemies. One in particular is out to kill him. This man is a former colleague, who tried to blow up Rudy’s wife, Nicole, and their twin daughters. He fled to America after also failing to murder Kruger. Now he has linked up with a corrupt businessman intent on a fascist revolution. This latest adventure is told in BAD BLOOD. We live in An Age of Terrorism. But even the western secret services are taken by surprise when an African warlord turns his domain into a nuclear power. The clue is a flood of hugely expensive diamonds and a series of bizarre killings. THE DIAMOND KING describes what happens when Rudy becomes involved in the chase to save Africa from its worst nightmare.
